This limited sharpness sometimes requires strong pressure to sever the elastic ligament, frequently causing iatrogenic damage, destructive bending of thin instrument blades, and hand fatigue. Laschal MSP-2XXF Extended Flexibility (+/- 10 degrees) Micro-serrated Periotomes provide maximal flex with limited rigidity to locate the most convenient insertion path. Periotomes operate ergonomically with a vertical sawing motion that cuts PDLs more efficiently and with less force.
